London Marathon 27th April 2025

Anne & Trev 27th April 2025

Story

UPDATE NO: 2 Unfortunately Trev was diagnosed as having Prostrate Cancer in January. Consequently he has been advised he will not be fit enough to run the London Marathon this year. I have decided to forego my ballot place to support Trev through his operation and recovery period. MDUK have once again been absolutely amazing and are holding Trev's place until 2025 along with all monies raised so far. They have also guaranteed me a charity place so we will be able to run together. Our fundraising page will remain open for donations at any time between now and the LM in April 2025. We thank everyone for their continued support. Third time lucky!! UPDATE: It was with great disappointment Trev and I had to defer our marathon together due to injury and illness. All monies donated to this event are being carried over to 2024. Thank you to everyone for all your donations so far. We will be on that start line next year! Having watched Trev run five London Marathons many years ago never did I think I would also run it yet in 2021 there I was on the start line. This year I said ‘maybe we could enter the ballot in the hope we could run it together, just once. Having entered the ballot for a number of years without success can you imagine my shock and surprise when I got a ‘You’re in’. Unfortunately Trev got a ‘no’. ‘So apply for a charity place with MDUK’ I suggested. And here we are. This is the chance of a lifetime to both participate in the world famous London Marathon. Time we stand on the start line in April we will both be officially OAP’s. But we will give this our best shot in memory of our beloved Paul who we miss so much each and every day. To raise money for research into this devastating disease in the hope a cure will be found and no other family will endure this life of heartache without our precious son sharing it by our sides. From the bottom of our broken hearts we thank you for any donation you can give to support our cause.
